In our blog post last month, we talked about the importance of keeping your place of business clean and well-maintained. This time, we’d like to talk about the importance of keeping your house free of clutter when you’re attempting to sell it. Of course, how you decide to keep your home is outside of our jurisdiction! But, during the process of selling a home, keeping it clutter-free is very important.
The main reason why it’s so important is that a cluttered home can make it more difficult for potential buyers to see themselves living there. They may feel like there is not enough storage space in the home. Or, they may imagine that hidden issues are lurking behind or underneath the clutter in your home. Or, they may get the impression that the house is smaller than it really is. Whether what they see in their imaginations is realistic or not doesn’t really matter – for a potential buyer, appearances matter.
